Youth Tennis Programs 2025

Below is our 2025 schedule. PLEASE FOLLOW UPDATES ON OUR SITE IN THE EVENT WE HAVE TO MAKE SCHEDULING CHANGES DUE TO CHANGING WEATHER OR HEALTH PROTOCOLS.

SPRING PROGRAM

Junior Program for ages 8 to 18: Open to all junior players who would like to improve their tennis skills.
Dates: Tuesdays: May 13, May 20, May 27 – 4:30-6pm
Cost: $110

SUMMER PROGRAMS (Morning Youth Camp, Junior Development, Junior Intensive)

Session 1: June 23 to June 27
Session 2: June 30 to July 3 (no camp July 4th)
Session 3: July 7 to July 11
Session 4: July 14 to July 18
Session 5: July 21 to July 25
Session 6: July 28 to Aug 1
Session 7: Aug 4 to Aug 8
Session 8: Aug 11 to Aug 15

MORNING YOUTH CAMPS for ages 8 to 18 (younger with director’s permission)
June 23 to August 15 (one-week sessions; no class on Fourth of July)

Morning Youth Camps are open to players of all levels from beginner through intermediate. The camps are designed to help encourage both physical and personal development of the campers through the acquisition of solid tennis skills taught in a combination of group and individual settings. Good sportsmanship, fun, and the development of general physical coordination skills lie at the core of the BOC tennis camp program.
Time: Monday to Friday (unless otherwise noted); 9 am to 12 pm (drop off 8:50 am)
Cost: $330 weekly ($265 for session 2)/$80 for day sessions, only when available

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT for ages 12 to 18

June 23 to August 15 (one-week sessions)
Time: Monday through Thursday, 1:00 to 3:00 pm
Cost: $180 weekly

JUNIOR INTENSIVE for ages 13 to 18
June 23 to August 15 (one-week, all-day sessions)

The BOC is offering an opportunity for young players who wish to develop their tennis game, have fun, work hard, and make new friends in a one-week program that provides live ball drills, match play, technical and tactical review, physical conditioning, and psychological development. The program will run Monday through Thursday from 9am to 3pm with an hour lunch break at noon. Fridays will on be a morning session from 9am-12pm

Time: Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 3 pm; Friday 9 am to noon
Cost: $500 weekly ($450 session 2)/Daily rate is $125 when available

Rain Policy- Camp will only be canceled due to rain if a total washout is forecasted. In the event of a quick rain storm the outdoor courts dry very quickly. Should we get a spot shower the camp staff will have games and activities under the pavilion at the club. In the event that rain would cause a cancelation an email will be sent out no later than 8:30am that morning. Campers can then use that day as a credit to attend a day session another week of the summer. Please contact Jacob with any questions regarding weather.

Adult Tennis Programs 2025

ADULT BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE CLINICS

Focusing on learning all facets of the game with others of similar skill level. Have fun! Improve your game! Meet new players! Weekday evenings 5-6:30 p.m. $25 – beginning in early June.

Tennis Pros

Jacob Miller

Jacob serves as Director at the BOC and has played four years of NCAA Division I collegiate tennis at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut and has been teaching for ten years. He is PTR certified and has teaching experience with all ages and abilities. Jacob is available for private instruction or as a hitting partner.

Jacob also offers several different lines of racquets, shoes and balls, and can help you choose the best gear for your game. He is a master racquet technician and provides stringing services and other racquet repairs/modifications to keep your equipment operating at peak performance. Ed Powers

In 2017 and 2018, Ed coached the Brattleboro Union High School boys’ team to a 9–3 record (2017) and a 10-2 record (2018). He has since taken over as head coach of the Northfield-Mount Hermon girls team. Ed is a PTR-certified coach at the high school level. He is currently a board member of USTA New England and the board liaison for the national selection committee. He also serves on the Brattleboro Outing Club’s tennis committee for the past four years, promoting the sport to youth and adults alike.
