Founded in 1922 by local sports enthusiast Fred Harris, the Brattleboro Outing Club (BOC) is one of the oldest civic outdoor sports associations in the country. It’s mission to “encourage, develop, and promote family outdoor life and good fellowship” has remained unchanged over the decades. It also keeps fees low by relying on an active volunteer base. As a result, BOC offers a great opportunity to join and participate in affordable outdoor activities year-round.
The Brattleboro Outing Club offers four distinct programs throughout the year: cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, paddling, rowing, and tennis. Each program welcomes new members at the start of its respective season.
Check out our six beautifully maintained red clay tennis courts and rustic clubhouse; learn to row and enjoy access to our dock and boats; join other canoers and kayakers on our scenic paddling trips; or cross-country ski or snowshoe on miles of beautifully-groomed trails. Most important of all, meet and have fun with other outdoor enthusiasts.
RowBOC dock access for non rowers. Free to all current paid BOC members (2014 Tennis and 2014/15 XC SKI) after you sign a DOCK ACCESS waiver. For non-BOC members please register online using the “Rowing” tab and then select Summer Docks for waiver and payment info.
