Morning Camps
For ages 8 to 14 (younger with directors permission); meets five days per week. Youth Summer Camps are open to players of all levels from beginner through intermediate. The camps are designed to help encourage both physical and personal development of the campers through the acquisition of solid tennis skills taught in a combination of group and individual setting. Good sportsmanship, fun, and the development of general physical coordination skills lie at the core of the BOC tennis camp program.
Dates: Seven one-week sessions (as listed above)
Time: Monday through Friday, 9 am to 12 pm (drop off from 8:45 am)
Cost: $150 per session. A 10% discount is available for all sessions for participants who register and pay in full BEFORE June 11.
Space is limited (day session by drop-in available only if space permits; $35 daily fee).
Please note: There will be no refunds for days missed. In case of inclement weather the camp will be held indoors at the neighboring BTC facilities.
Junior Afternoon Program
For ages 12 to 17, or with permission of director; meets three days per week. The Junior program stresses technique, fun, competition, and good sportsmanship. The program consists of two levels:
- The Development group is for those junior players who have learned the basics of the game and wish to build on those skills as well as learn more advanced aspects of tennis.
- The Competition group is for those players ready for competitive tennis and who wish to concentrate on game play. In addition to three practice days per week there is also a requirement for match play.
Dates: Seven one-week sessions (as listed above)
Time: Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday, 1:30 to 3:30 pm
Cost: $70 per session
Match play: In addition to three days per week of guided practice, all players at the competition level will be required to play at least one match per week (matches may be played within the following: any USTA Junior tournament, USTA Jr. Team Tennis, BOC Junior Ladder, or BOC singles league). Players at the development level are encouraged to play one match per week in the BOC Junior Ladder league, though not required.

Quick Start Program
QuickStart 1 is for children ages 5 to 7; QuickStart 2 is for ages 8 to 10. Quickstart Tennis was developed by the USTA and is a proven format for learning the game of tennis with the playing field and equipment modified to reflect the age and skill development of the player. We use smaller courts and low compression and foam balls to get children playing tennis as soon as possible.
- QuickStart 1: An introduction to the game of tennis. Tons of fun games and exercises to develop coordination and basic racquet skill for ages 5 to 7.
- Session 1: May 15 – June 19, Saturdays, 9-10 am
- Session 2: July 6 – July 15, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 pm
- Session 3: July 20 – July 29, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 pm
- Session 4: August 3 – 12, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 pm
- Session 5: August 17 – 26, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 pm
- Session 6: September 4 – 25, Saturdays, 9-10 am
Make-ups for session 1 and 6 will be the Saturday following the session. Make-ups for sessions 2 to 5 will be held on Friday of the week that class is missed.
Cost: Session 1, $60; sessions 2 through 6, $40
- QuickStart 2: Fundamentals of strokes and the game will be introduced through the use of games, drills, and fun contests. Ground strokes, volleys, and beginning service motion will be covered, for ages 8 to 10.

- Session 2: September 5 – 26: Saturdays, 10-11 am

FALL PROGRAM
Junior Program
Open to junior players of any age who would like to improve their tennis skills. Meets two days per week for one hour.

Time: Tuesday & Thursday, 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm
