Singles Ladder

WELCOME TO THE 2012 SINGLES TENNIS LADDER
We are again excited to offer a Singles Ladder this season and hope it adds fun and variety to your tennis competition this summer.

— The ladder is open to all BOC members and all skill levels.
— The singles ladder allows players to play many more matches than the singles league and the opportunity to play a greater range of players.
— Ladder play begins Saturday, May 26 and ends Friday, September 21.

Please send registration form and $20 fee by Saturday, May 19. Your initial placement on the ladder will be done manually in accordance with the best information available. The seeding will be done in the days following the registration deadline, and all entrants will subsequently receive their ladder registration information via email. If you miss the registration deadline you may still join the ladder without penalty.

The singles ladder was added to our program last season. We are experimenting with scoring and structure to make this the most fun possible for all the participants.  The system we are using is called Leap Frog Plus and differs in some ways from last year. Communication to set up a match will happen electronically on the ladder website, players will have 14 days to respond to a challenge, and points will be awarded for the number of games played as well as for games  and matches won. You will be able to challenge another player up to five places higher than you. Details of the rules and scoring will be provided in the email you receive once your registration is processed. Prizes will be offered for the champions in several categories as well as runners up and other outstanding accomplishments such as most matches played, etc.

To register  Mail in (or drop off at the club) the downloadable registration form and $20 payment made out to the BOC. Once your registration form has been received and you have been seeded you will be sent an email confirming your registration The email will  include the ladder name, web address, and a password enabling you to begin play. Please remember to keep your email address up to date so that other players will be able to contact you through the website.
